15 September 2026 19:34

Azerbaijan and Belarus have discussed new veterinary projects as part of a meeting between the Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Food Safety Agency (AQTA), Goshgar Tahmazli, and Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich.

The agency said the meeting included an exchange of views on the system for approving food facilities, the certification of poultry meat products and the production of the Rabisafe veterinary product against rabies in the Guba district, Caliber.Az reports.

The sides also considered prospects for the joint production of other veterinary products.

They discussed the integration of AQTA’s information system (AQTİS) with Belarus’ BELFITO.

Officials noted that the technical requirements for the integration had been prepared and were currently at the coordination stage.

The meeting also focused on expanding trade between the two countries in food products.

The sides stressed the importance of continuing efforts to further expand existing cooperation, develop information exchange and implement joint projects.
