Azerbaijan’s new Vienna envoy presents credentials to UN Office chief

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Austria Kamil Khasiyev has presented his credentials to Monica Juma, Director-General of the UN Office at Vienna, formally taking up his duties as Azerbaijan’s newly appointed Permanent Representative to the UN Office.

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Austria announced the development in a social media post, Caliber.Az reports.

“Ambassador Kamil Khasiyev presented his credentials to Ms. Monica Juma, Director-General of UNOV, as the newly appointed Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the United Nations Office at Vienna,” the embassy said.

On July 29, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev relieved Khasiyev of his duties as ambassador to Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia and, by a separate decree, appointed him Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Austria.
