President of Pan-African Parliament visits Azerbaijan

A delegation led by Pan-African Parliament President Fateh Boutbig has arrived in Azerbaijan.

The delegation was welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by Eyvaz Gurbanov, head of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) working group on Azerbaijani-Gambian inter-parliamentary relations, and other officials, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Milli Majlis.

The visit comes at the invitation of Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, and follows her participation in the First Ordinary Session of the Seventh Legislature of the Pan-African Parliament.

Officials are expected to discuss matters of mutual interest, parliamentary diplomacy, South-South cooperation and opportunities to deepen institutional relations between the Pan-African Parliament and the Milli Majlis.
