Palestinian PM pays tribute to Azerbaijan’s national leader, martyrs during Baku visit PHOTO
Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa has visited Azerbaijan’s Alley of Honour and Victory Park during his official visit to Baku, paying tribute to the country’s national figures and fallen heroes.
At the Alley of Honour, Mustafa laid a wreath at the grave of Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s national leader and the founder of the modern independent state, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He also honoured the memory of prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva, as well as statesman Aziz Aliyev and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev, by laying flowers at their graves.
The Palestinian prime minister later visited Victory Park, where he was welcomed by a guard of honour.
He laid a wreath at the Victory Monument and was briefed on the park’s significance, including its role in commemorating Azerbaijani servicemen who lost their lives and the country’s victory in the 2020 Patriotic War.
