Inauguration ceremony of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev begins in Kazakhstan
The official inauguration ceremony of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who won the extraordinary presidential elections on November 20, started at the Palace of Independence on November 26.
Tokayev has already arrived at the Palace, where he will take the oath to the Kazakh people, Report informs citing Kazakh media.
Members of the government, MPs, members of the Constitutional Council, judges of the Supreme Court, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Kazakhstan, as well as other invited guests are taking part in the inauguration ceremony.
During the event, the chairman of the Central Election Commission will present a certificate of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the newly elected Tokayev.
Over 6.45 million voters, or 81.31 per cent, voted for Tokayev in the presidential elections.
