Armenian oligarch questioned by Anti-corruption Committee
Oligarch and leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, Gagik Tsarukyan, has been questioned by Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee as a witness.
The committee did not release any official information regarding the matter, and attempts to reach Tsarukyan’s representatives have so far been unsuccessful, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The questioning comes amid an ongoing investigation into illegally acquired assets. Earlier, Tsarukyan and several family members—including his parents, wife, sons, and daughter-in-law—were summoned by the Prosecutor General’s Office. His daughter, Roza Tsarukyan, and her husband, former MP Karapet Guloyan, had also been summoned earlier in connection with the same case.
In a separate proceeding, Tsarukyan and Sedrak Arustamyan, CEO of Tsarukyan’s holding company Multi Group, face charges related to voter bribery.
