Azerbaijan informes EU about Armenia's military usage of Lachin road
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the European Union about Armenia's use of the Lachin road for military purposes.
On November 28, Bayramov met with Michael Siebert, the Executive Director of the European External Action Service for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, regional cooperation and the OSCE, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on various aspects of Azerbaijan-EU cooperation, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, prospects of cooperation on agreements reached with the EU in the fields of energy security, communications and transport, as well as the regional developments.
Bayramov informed his interlocutor about Azerbaijani efforts to develop the peace agenda, Armenia's attempts to hinder this process, gross violations of obligations under the Trilateral Statements, the incomplete withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the Azerbaijani territories, cases of misuse of the Lachin road for military purposes and existing mine threats.
During the meeting the sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
