Lieutenant Colonel: Azerbaijani army arsenal significantly expanded since 2020 war
Showcasing the capabilities of Azerbaijani aircraft is one of the main objectives of participating in the international military exercise "Anatolian Eagle 2025," according to military pilot Lieutenant Colonel Elchin Rafiyev.
Rafiyev stated that such exercises also provide opportunities to study the tactics of other countries and to gain experience in operating modern combat equipment, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
"Each country demonstrates the capabilities of its air force. Following the 2020 Patriotic War, under the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, our Armed Forces adopted the model of the Turkish military. Since then, we have regularly conducted joint exercises with Türkiye," he said.
The lieutenant colonel stressed that the arsenal of the Azerbaijani army has expanded significantly since the war.
"These exercises are essential for learning and putting new types of weaponry into practice, as they enhance the combat readiness of our units," added the pilot, who has been awarded the Karabakh Order.
It is worth noting that more than 10 countries are taking part in the exercise.
