Azerbaijan, Pakistan explore ways to promote investment volume
Azerbaijan and Pakistan have discussed lanes to actively promote mutual investments and the prospects for partnership between business entities between the two countries.
Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov shared this insight on his official X account following an exchange with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Caliber.Az reports.
"During the meeting, we exchanged views on strengthening bilateral #economic and #trade relations, actively promoting mutual investments, and exploring prospects for enhanced partnerships between the #business communities of both countries," his statement read.
The two had an opportunity to exchange views on the sidelines of the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization that kicked off in the Azerbaijani city of Khankendi on that day.
Compared to the same period in 2024, trade between Azerbaijan and Pakistan increased by 78.4 percent, as reported by local media outlets, reaching over $11 million from January to April 2025.
