Representatives from Azerbaijan hold talks with Karabakh Armenians
The commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, representatives of Azerbaijan and the Armenian population of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan discussed on March 1 the situation on the Lachin road, in particular, its relevant use, at a trilateral meeting.
The possibility of environmental monitoring by representatives of the Azerbaijani side of the two mineral deposits in Karabakh was considered during the meeting, the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent told the Armenian media, according to Caliber.Az.
Agreements on further cooperation, reduction of tension, and establishment of a peaceful life in the region were reached.
Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Ramin Mammadov, led the Azerbaijani delegation at the talks with Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
Mammadov met with representatives of Armenian residents living in Karabakh in the town of Khojaly, at the headquarters of the peacekeeping contingent of Russia, temporarily stationed on the Azerbaijani territory, on March 1, 2023.
The head of the Azerbaijani group on illegal exploitation of natural resources, Masim Mammadov, attended the meeting. The group also included experts from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy, and the AzerGold company.
The preliminary discussions on the reintegration of the Armenian residents of the Karabakh region into Azerbaijani society in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Azerbaijan were held during the meeting.
The talks with Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan will be continued.
