Relocated families in Azerbaijan’s Khojavand receive keys to new homes “Great Return” progresses / PHOTO/ Updated
A new group of relocated families has received keys to apartments in the city of Khojavand, Azerbaijan.
The key handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Presidential Representation for the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, as well as the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
At this stage, 46 families, totalling 177 people, have moved to the city.

Nineteen families who have returned to the village of Khanabad in the Khojaly district have been handed the keys to their new apartments.
All the necessary facilities have been put in place in the village of Khanabad to ensure a comfortable stay for the returning families, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Another group of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) has arrived in Khanabad village in the Khojaly district, as part of the “Great Return” state programme initiated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the latest figures, 19 families — comprising 89 people — have now returned to Khanabad, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
This brings the total number of families resettled in the village to 78, or 346 people.

As part of the state programme “Great Return” initiated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, new groups of former internally displaced persons departed for Khojavand city and Khanabad village in the Khojaly district on the morning of March 19.
Currently, 46 families (177 people) are returning to Khojavand, while 19 families (89 people) are relocating to Khanabad, Caliber.Az report per local media
These individuals had previously been temporarily housed in dormitories, sanatoriums, children’s camps, and unfinished or administrative buildings.
Following the decisive victory of the Azerbaijani Army in the Patriotic War under President Ilham Aliyev, former displaced residents now have the opportunity to return voluntarily, safely, and with dignity after 30 years.
Residents expressed gratitude to the head of state and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for comprehensive state support and thanked the Azerbaijani Army for liberating the lands, honouring the memory of martyrs who gave their lives for this cause.
