Azerbaijani speaker, Turkish first lady discuss global environmental challenges in New York

    Azerbaijani Parliament's Speaker Sahiba Gafarova, who is on a working visit to the US, has met in New York with the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, and the first lady of this country, Emine Erdogan.

    Erdogan announced the meeting on Twitter on March 29, Caliber.Az informs.

    "We met in Türkevi [Turkish House] with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Sahibe Gafarova, who came to New York to participate in the March 30 World Zero Waste Day special session held at the UN," Erdogan wrote.

    "We shared our experience regarding Zero Waste. We agree that environmental problems are the responsibility of all the countries of the world and shared the same thoughts in the joint fight against the climate crisis."
