Ukraine to receive more IRIS-T systems from Germany

Ukraine will receive more IRIS-T air defence systems from Germany.

Additional supply contracts were signed upon the decision on May 26, RBC-Ukraine reports quoting Ukraine's ambassador to Germany Oleksiy Makeyev.

"The IRIS-T SAM from Diehl Defence, which the Ukrainians call 'Iriska'. It has already saved several Ukrainian lives," the statement said.

Makeyev noted that additional contracts for these systems were signed on May 26 in Überlingen at Lake Constance.

"And these IRIS-T SLM/SLS launchers/missiles will soon arrive in Ukraine," the ambassador added.
