The PKK terrorists continue to surrender in the Pence area of operations in northern Iraq.
The Turkish National Defence Ministry made the statement on its Twitter page on June 1, Caliber.Az reports.
"Three more PKK militants who fled from a terrorist organisation in northern Iraq surrendered to our border post in Khabur," the report says.
In late May, Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said that the country will not stop anti-terror operations in northern Iraq and Syria.
He made the remarks at a meeting with young people in Kayseri on May 24, Anadolu reports.
"Operations in northern Iraq and Syria will not stop. This fight will continue until the last terrorist is neutralised," he said.
Akar stressed that the Turkish Armed Forces are determined to save people from the scourge of terrorism that has been haunting them for 40 years.
"Right now we are chasing terrorists in northern Iraq and Syria. There is no salvation for them. Either they die or they surrender. Operations in Iraq and Syria will continue until the last terrorist [is neutralised]. They have no choice but to surrender to justice," he said.
Earlier, he said that Türkiye has “neutralised” more than 37,800 terrorists since 2015.
