PKK/YPG accomplices continue criminal activities in Sweden
A new version of the Penal Code with the intention of tightening the fight against terrorism came into force in Sweden on June 1.
However, despite this, supporters of the YPG/PKK terrorist organisation continue their criminal activities, raising money and preparing new actions, while Swedish state radio broadcasts an interview with one of the leaders of the bloody organisation, Anadolu reports.
Supporters of the terrorist organisation PKK/YPG, calling themselves members of Sweden's Rozhov Committee, have announced they will hold a demonstration in Stockholm on June 4.
Affiliates of the criminal organisation posted on social media a call for participation in an upcoming action with the bloody structure's symbols.
Meanwhile, Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom accused PKK/YPG accomplices of trying to sabotage the Scandinavian country's accession to NATO. On state-run SVT television, the Swedish diplomatic chief called the actions "unacceptable", although legitimate.
However, Billstrom expressed his conviction that the upcoming action would not affect Türkiye's position on NATO enlargement.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has also criticized the Rozhov Committee. In an interview with TT, the politician called it "unfortunate that a small group is doing everything possible to sabotage Sweden's accession to NATO".
Meanwhile, a group of supporters of the terrorist organisation has ended a one-month campaign to raise aid for the PKK. The campaign ended the day before, at 00:00 local time, before the new Penal Code came into force.
The criminal organisation's social media page announced that the money raised during the month would be transferred to the YPG. The campaign was also supported by the Swedish Left Party.
Swedish state radio SR aired a report with Sabri Ok, one of the PKK/YPG terrorist leaders.
Ok criticised the Swedish authorities, saying official Stockholm was "lying to please Türkiye".
