Top Dutch court upholds decision awarding Crimean gold artefacts to Ukraine

The Supreme Court of the Netherlands has dismissed an appeal filed by Crimean museums and ruled that the Scythian gold should be given to Ukraine.

According to TASS, this was stated in the court's decision distributed on June 9.

"The Amsterdam Court of Appeal ruled in October 2021 that the collection should be transferred to the state of Ukraine," the document said. "This decision remains in force."

The verdict of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands marks the end of the proceedings. "The Allard Pearson Museum should transfer the art collection to the state of Ukraine and not to Crimean museums," the court said.
