N' Korean UN envoy accuses US of making 2023 "extremely dangerous year" for world

North Korea has accused the United States of making 2023 an "extremely dangerous year" for the world, alleging that US actions were aimed at provoking a nuclear war.

As reported by Korea Times, North Korea's UN ambassador, Kim Song, lashed out at Washington while speaking at the General Assembly on September 26. He continued to criticize both US and South Korean leaders for what he referred to as "hysterical remarks of confrontation" that are escalating tensions in the region.

“Owing to the reckless and continued hysteria of nuclear showdown on the part of the US and its following forces, the year 2023 has been recorded as an extremely dangerous year that the military security situation in and around the Korean peninsula was driven closer to the brink of a nuclear war”, Kim urged.

The UN ambassador also claimed that the United States was attempting to form "the Asian version of NATO".
