Georgia to host World Tourism Day in 2024

The annual international forum UN World Tourism Day in 2024 will be held in Georgia.
Georgian Deputy Minister of Economy Mariam Kvrivishvili made the announcement, Caliber.Az reports citing Georgian media.
"European countries - members of the UN World Tourism Organisation have expressed unanimous support and as a result, Georgia has been given the title of hosts of the World Tourism Day in 2024," said Kvrivishvili, who took part in the World Tourism Day forum held in Riyadh.
According to the Deputy Minister, Georgia will host about 3 thousand leading representatives of the tourism industry and aviation sector. At the forum held in Riyadh, Kvrivishvili reportedly familiarised those present with the events to be held in Georgia next year.
