Türkiye strives for stability in Caucasus – defence minister
Relations between Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye are of strategic importance.
Turkish Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler said on November 27 in Baku at a trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani and Georgian Defence Ministers Col-Gen Zakir Hasanov and Juansher Burchuladze respectively, Report informs.
“We are determined to develop our relations and strive for stability in the Caucasus. Azerbaijan has liberated its lands from occupation. Countries in the region can solve their problems independently. To show this to the international community, we maintain contacts between Yerevan and Baku,” the Turkish minister said.
In the opinion of Guler, the 3+2 platform is a good format for the peaceful resolution of problems. “Armenia cannot properly assess the opportunity that has arisen,” the minister said.
Yasar Guler added that they want to expand Azerbaijan’s participation in NATO exercises.
