Azerbaijani ambassador engages with French students on historical, geopolitical issues PHOTO
Azerbaijani Ambassador to France, Leyla Abdullayeva, has met with approximately 100 students from the French Institute of International Relations in Paris.
During the meeting, she highlighted Azerbaijan's rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as its significant geopolitical position and foreign policy, Caliber.Az reports.
Ambassador Abdullayeva addressed the 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, detailing Azerbaijan's efforts for a peaceful resolution and referencing four UN Security Council resolutions co-signed by France.
She articulated how Armenian provocations ultimately compelled Azerbaijan to reclaim its territories by force, emphasizing the role of the Azerbaijani army, led by President Ilham Aliyev, in restoring the country's territorial integrity and creating new regional realities.
The ambassador also discussed Azerbaijan's contributions to the energy security of the European Union and its upcoming chairmanship of COP29. In a lively exchange, she responded to various questions from students, including those of a provocative nature, demonstrating her commitment to engaging in open dialogue about complex issues facing Azerbaijan and the region.
