Italian PM thanks Azerbaijani president for congratulations

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for congratulating her on reaching the longest tenure as head of government

In a post on X, Meloni highlighted what she described as a sincere friendship between Azerbaijan and Italy, Caliber.Az reports.

“Thank you, dear Aliyev, for these words and for the sincere friendship that connects our peoples,” Meloni wrote.

She emphasised that over the years, Italy and Azerbaijan have built strong cooperation based on a shared vision and common interests.

“I am very proud of the work we have done together to strengthen our strategic partnership and am confident that new important opportunities for cooperation lie ahead, in the interests of our peoples,” the Italian prime minister added.
