Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss expanding strategic partnership

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Kazakhstan’s newly appointed Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi, with the two officials discussing bilateral relations and opportunities to deepen cooperation.

According to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, Bayramov congratulated Tleuberdi on his appointment and wished him success in his new position, Caliber.Az reports. 

The ministers reviewed the current agenda of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan strategic relations, the state of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and prospects for expanding ties in areas of mutual interest.

Bayramov said relations between the two countries were developing dynamically on the basis of friendship, mutual trust and solidarity. He stressed the importance of further strengthening bilateral ties and giving cooperation new momentum.

The two sides also praised their cooperation and mutual support within international and regional organisations. They emphasised the importance of maintaining coordination and continuing consultations in multilateral forums.

The ministers additionally exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
