Azerbaijan, Ukraine commend strategic partnership relations PHOTO

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Ukrainian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan Vladyslav Kanevskyi on the occasion of the completion of the term of his diplomatic activity on April 2.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine and emphasised the importance of expanding cooperation, APA reports citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The sides stressed that the relations between the two countries and peoples have historical roots and are constantly developing on the basis of respect for the norms and principles of international law, including territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Ukrainian side emphasised the importance of the humanitarian assistance rendered by Azerbaijan to Ukraine and thanked for it.

Other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.

Bayramov expressed gratitude to the ambassador for his contribution to the development of relations between the two countries and wished him success in his future activity.
