Al Mayadeen: Death toll in Gaza approaches 28,000 people
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has revealed that the number of martyred Palestinians since October 7 has risen to 27,947 while 67,459 others have been injured.
Israeli occupation forces committed 13 massacres in the past 24 hours against families in Gaza resulting in the martyrdom of 107 Palestinians and injury of 142 others, according to Al Mayadeen.
The ministry also added that several victims are still under the rubble, as the Israeli forces are perpetually preventing ambulances and civil defence crews from reaching them.
Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a deadly surprise attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, spreading terror throughout the country. The carnage triggered a fierce response from Israel, whose military launched massive retaliatory strikes on the Gaza Strip. Since then, the Palestinian enclave of 2.3 million inhabitants, under Israeli blockade since 2007, has been living under bombardment, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes.
