June 24, 2025 – Israel vs Iran VIDEO

24 June 2025 00:21

This live news feed has now concluded. Follow our latest updates in the new live feed here.

Israel has announced a series of strikes on key targets inside Iranian territory. According to Tel Aviv, the attacks targeted components of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear infrastructure, sites linked to its ballistic missile programme, and high-ranking military commanders. In response, Tehran began launching retaliatory strikes against Israeli targets. This live feed covers all the latest developments in the escalating conflict.

00:21

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran’s retaliatory strikes following the destruction of its nuclear facilities were “very weak” and “expected.” The statement was made on his Truth Social page.

According to him, a total of 14 missiles were launched at American targets: 13 were intercepted, and one was “set free.”

“I am pleased to report that NO Americans were harmed, and hardly any damage was done,” Trump noted.

The President also thanked Iran for the early warning, which helped prevent casualties.

“Most importantly, they’ve gotten it all out of their ‘system,’ and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE,” he added.

Trump further expressed hope that Iran would now move toward peace and harmony in the region, and promised to “enthusiastically encourage Israel” to do the same.

00:17

The Israeli Air Force carried out a series of strikes on military targets belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in western Iran, according to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service.

The airstrikes reportedly targeted underground infrastructure used for storing missiles and launch systems.

“In the past several hours, Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck multiple targets in western Iran, including an underground military facility used by the IRGC to store missiles and missile launchers,” the statement said.

It also noted that Israeli aircraft destroyed a missile launcher designed for targeting aerial threats.

00:14

Saudi Arabia has expressed its readiness to support Qatar in response to Iran’s strike on the Al-Udeid airbase, which hosts U.S. forces.

The statement was issued by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and published on social media platform X.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expresses its condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest terms possible, the aggression launched by Iran against the brotherly State of Qatar, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, and an entirely unacceptable act that cannot be justified under any circumstances,” the ministry emphasised.

Riyadh also declared its readiness to provide all necessary assistance to Doha in light of recent developments.

June 24, 00:01

The Kingdom of Morocco has strongly condemned Iran’s missile strike on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base located in Qatar, according to an official communiqué from the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The Kingdom of Morocco strongly condemns the odious missile attack against the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar and its airspace,” the statement from the foreign ministry emphasised.

Official Rabat expressed full solidarity with Qatar and affirmed its support “in the face of any act that could endanger its security or the safety of its citizens.”

23:25

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) strongly condemned Iran’s missile strike on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and called for an immediate de-escalation of tensions in the region, according to a declaration by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The United Arab Emirates has condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of Al Udeid Air Base in the State of Qatar by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, considering it a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Qatar and its airspace,” the statement read.

The UAE expressed full solidarity with Qatar and emphasised the urgent need to halt military escalation in the Middle East.

Iraq’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described Iran’s strike on the Al Udeid U.S. airbase in Qatar as “an unprecedented and extremely dangerous development” in the evolving conflict, the INA news agency reports.

“We are following with deep concern the escalation in the region, which is now impacting more countries and has resulted in an attack on Qatar. This step is an unprecedented and extremely dangerous development in the ongoing conflict, and we call on all parties to exercise restraint,” the statement said.

Baghdad stressed that further military escalation threatens the stability of the entire Middle East.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman warned that Iran’s strike on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar could lead to further escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, according to the ministry’s official statement.

“Iranian missile bombardment of sovereign sites in the sisterly State of Qatar, which Oman regards as an unacceptable and condemns as an act that violates the sovereignty of a fellow Gulf Cooperation Council member state, contravenes the principles of good neighbourliness, and risks expanding a futile conflict,” the statement said.

Oman called “for an immediate halt to all military and missile actions, and urges the adoption of wisdom through peaceful negotiations and adherence to international law in addressing the causes of the conflict and in reaching a just settlement through legitimate means.’

22:47

President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, has remained in contact with Iranian officials since US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend, two sources familiar the matter said, as the administration continues to seek out a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, CNN reports.

But his efforts are facing significant challenge from Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has been exceedingly difficult for Iranian officials to reach after he retreated to a hidden location amid escalating tensions, the sources said.

The understanding among US officials is that the 86-year-old Khamenei will need to sign off on any major diplomatic decisions. But getting information to and from him has become more difficult.

That has left communications between the US and the Iranians — either directly or through intermediaries — somewhat halting, officials said.

Khamenei has not delivered any recorded messages since the US strikes. And US officials believe he is in hiding amid the ongoing conflict to avoid assassination.

Nonetheless, Trump said he hopes that after the weekend strikes, Iran will return to negotiations that had been largely deadlocked before Israel began its attacks this month.

The US and Iran have maintained back-channel communications throughout the current crisis. Before the weekend strikes, the US conveyed a message that the actions would be contained and that Trump was still seeking to resolve the matter diplomatically, officials said.

22:33

Sounds of intense air defence activity are being heard in central Tehran, with explosions audible in the skies over the Iranian capital, according to a TASS correspondent.

22:22

According to the U.S. military, no Iranian attacks have been recorded on any U.S. bases except for Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Reuters reports, citing a Pentagon spokesperson.

The spokesperson noted that there was neither damage nor any consequences from the strike at Al Udeid itself.

Earlier, military sources told Reuters that air defence systems at the U.S. Ain al-Asad base in Iraq had been placed on high alert due to the threat of a potential attack.

22:15

Three Iranian missiles struck the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Iranian state outlet Press TV reports.

“So far, three missiles have hit the Al Udeid base,” the report stated.

22:12

The Trump administration was anticipating Tehran would retaliate after US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend, and the president does not want more military engagement in the region, a senior White House official told CNN today.

“We knew they’d retaliate. They had a similar response after Soleimani,” the official said, referring to Qasem Soleimani, the Iranian commander killed in a US airstrike in 2020.

The official said initial assessments were that the missiles fired by the Iranians on June 23 didn’t hit their intended targets. Qatar’s Defense Ministry said its air defenses intercepted an Iranian missile attack on the US air base in the country.

President Donald Trump is willing to escalate US military involvement if necessary, the official said. Trump was due to talk to national security officials June 23 afternoon, and it is possible his posture could change.

22:11

Iran’s state news agency IRNA released video footage of the missile launches carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as part of Operation Basharat al-Fath (“Tidings of Victory”).

The strikes targeted the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, where U.S. forces are stationed.

22:06

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated during a visit to one of the country's air force bases that Israel's goal is "total victory", according to his office.

"The goal is total victory; no less," Netanyahu emphasised during his visit to the "Hetz" ("Arrow") missile defence unit.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Eyal Zamir, and the Commander of the Air Force, Tomer Bar.

22:05

Qatar's air defence systems successfully intercepted missiles launched at the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said in a press release on platform X.

"Qatari air defenses successfully intercepted a missile attack targeting Al-Udeid Air Base," the statement said. It was noted that thanks to the vigilance of the military personnel and precautionary measures, "the incident did not result in any deaths or injuries."

22:04

Iran warned Qatar in advance of the upcoming attack on the U.S. base to minimise casualties.

An Iranian source told The New York Times that it was important for Tehran to carry out a retaliatory strike on U.S. facilities, but at the same time, it sought to preserve room for manoeuvre for all parties and the possibility of halting escalation.

The Secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council also emphasised that the strike on the U.S. base posed no threat to Qatar.

"This action posed no danger to the friendly and brotherly state of Qatar and its people, and the Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to maintaining and continuing its warm and historic relations with Qatar," the statement said.

21:38

Following large-scale Israeli Air Force strikes on military and government targets in Tehran, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Brigadier General Effie Defrin stated: "The message of these strikes is unequivocal: we have many more attack plans."

He added: "We will continue to strike any element of the Iranian regime involved in plans that threaten Israel."

“Israeli official tells me Iran launched 6 missiles towards U.S. bases in Qatar,” he wrote on X.

19:50

A senior Iranian official has indicated that the ongoing military confrontation between Iran and Israel could extend for up to two years.

The official emphasized Tehran’s preparedness for a protracted standoff and issued a pointed demand that the United States assume direct responsibility for the conflict, rather than merely providing indirect support to Israel, according to an exclusive report by CNN.

“The Iranian government wants the United States to directly pay for the war, not support Israel,” the official stated, underscoring Tehran’s position that Washington should be held accountable for its role in the escalating hostilities.

19:21

More than 500 rockets and over 1,000 drones have been launched from Iran into Israeli territory since June 13, said Dmitry Gendelman, an adviser to the Israeli Prime Minister.

In a statement posted on his Telegram channel, Gendelman detailed the toll of the attacks, which he said have caused significant loss of life and widespread destruction.

“Since the beginning of the operation, more than 500 rockets have been fired at Israel, more than 1,000 drones have been launched. Casualties: 25 people have been killed. 1,361 people were injured,” Gendelman wrote.

In addition to the human toll, the attacks have resulted in extensive property damage across affected regions. Gendelman noted that the Israel Tax Authority has received 36,465 damage claims from civilians and businesses impacted by the strikes.

19:15

Residents of Tehran have been urged to steer clear of military bases and weapons production facilities as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) signal continued operations in the region.

According to newsru.co.il, the warning was issued by IDF spokesperson for the Persian media Major Kamal Pinhasi in a post on social media platform X, where he addressed the Iranian public.

“In the coming days, the IDF will continue to strike military targets in the Tehran area. For your safety, we ask you to stay away from weapons factories, command centres and other regime military facilities,” the statement read.

18:43

The United States anticipates a potential military response from Iran within the next 48 hours following recent US strikes.

According to Reuters, Iranian retaliation is expected to target American forces stationed in the Middle East, where approximately 40,000 US personnel are deployed.

Despite these concerns, the officials emphasized that Washington is actively pursuing diplomatic avenues to defuse tensions, striving to persuade Tehran against carrying out any retaliatory attacks.

16:53

More than 50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets have attacked military targets in Tehran, the army press service reports.

"During a recent series of strikes, and as part of the IDF's effort to degrade the Iranian regime's military capabilities, Israeli Air Force fighter jets, with the direction of the IDF Intelligence Directorate, struck military command centres belonging to the Iranian regime. The sites struck included missile and radar production sites and missile storage infrastructure in Tehran," the statement said.

16:35

Since the beginning of Israel’s attacks on Iran, air defence forces have shot down 130 enemy drones, Tasnim reports, citing the Air Defence Command of the Iranian Armed Forces.

According to the information, the downed Israeli drones include Hermes, Heron, and kamikaze UAVs.

The Israeli Air Force carried out airstrikes on Iran’s Internal Security Forces and the IRGC headquarters in Tehran, the army press service reports.

Among the targets hit were the IRGC’s “Tharallah” headquarters and another brigade under the Corps’ command.

Regarding the strikes on the Fordow nuclear facility, the army press service stated that the objective was to block access routes to the site.

14:37

A short while ago, Israeli Air Force fighter jets, acting on precise intelligence provided by the IDF Intelligence Directorate, carried out a strike on command centres and facilities belonging to the Internal Security Forces and the IRGC in Tehran, according to the IDF's Telegram channel.

"These forces consist of various corps and command centres, and are responsible, on behalf of the Iranian regime's military, for defending the homeland security, suppressing threats, and maintaining the regime's stability.

As part of the strike, the headquarters of the Basij was targeted. The Basij is one of the IRGC’s central armed bases of power. Alongside its other functions, it is also responsible for enforcing the Islamic law and reporting civilians who violate it to the regime authorities.

Additionally, the Alborz Corps, responsible for the security of several cities in the Tehran District from various threats and for maintaining the regime's stability, was struck, along with the Intelligence and General Security Police under the Internal Security Forces, which also form part of the regime's military forces.

These command centres have a significant military effect, and additionally, they impact the regime's ability to impose control. Striking these military targets harms the Iranian regime's military capabilities," the statement said.

13:42

The 21st wave of attacks on Israel was carried out using both solid-fuel and liquid-fuel rockets, as well as strike drones, the IRGC press service reports.

For the first time in this operation, the ballistic missiles “Khaibar” (Ghadr H) were used. The IRGC emphasises that the new tactics have allowed for more precise and devastating strikes on strategic targets across the territory of Israel.

The statement also highlights that the operation will continue with the use of “new special tactics” and taking into account the identified weaknesses in Israel’s air defence system.

“Combat drones continue to strike around the clock,” the IRGC stated.

13:10

Israeli forces have again launched an attack on Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, Qom province crisis management headquarters announced.

"The information received indicates that most of the drones hit their intended targets," the statement said.

10:25

More than 15 Israeli Air Force fighter jets, following precise instructions from the intelligence directorate, recently attacked the Kermanshah area in Iran, destroying several launch and storage sites for surface-to-surface missiles aimed at Israeli territory, according to the army press service.

“The IDF continues to intensify its attacks on the military capabilities of the Iranian regime and will continue to work to achieve air superiority in order to maintain the security of the State of Israel,” the statement said.

10:05

As part of efforts to strengthen air superiority over Iran, the Israel Defense Forces attacked six airports in western, eastern, and central Iran, according to the army press service.

The strikes damaged runways, underground bunkers, a tanker aircraft, and F-14, F-5, and AH-1 planes belonging to the Iranian Armed Forces.

The destroyed aircraft were intended for use against Israeli Air Force planes and to prevent their attacks on Iranian territory.

The Israeli Air Force has disrupted the ability of the Iranian Air Force to take off from and operate these airports.

09:04

On the morning of June 23, air defence systems of the IRGC detected and shot down a Hermes reconnaissance drone over the city of Khorramabad in Lorestan Province, ISNA reports, citing the IRGC press service.

The statement describes it as a "high-tech unmanned aerial vehicle belonging to the Zionist regime."

As of the time of publication, there has been no official confirmation or comment from Israel.

08:47

21:57

Israel's military campaign against Iran is ongoing, with further targets and objectives remaining, IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir said, as reported in the IDF’s Telegram channel.

"At this stage, we have achieved many objectives, including causing significant damage to Iran’s nuclear programme <…> But let us not forget: the campaign continues, and we still have targets to strike and missions to complete," he said.

Israel is continuing to ramp up the pace of its strikes in line with the operational plan and is ready "to proceed for as long as necessary," Zamir added.

19:18

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out an airstrike on Khorramshahr ballistic missile storage facilities in the Yazd area — for the first time, at a distance of about 2,200 km from Israeli territory.

“We struck Khorramshahr missiles before they could be launched at Israel and destroyed the tunnels used to store them,” said Air Force Commander Major General Tomer Bar. The operations were conducted in real time from the command centre under the leadership of the Air Force Commander and Head of Air Operations Brigadier General Gilad Kinan.

18:06

The Israeli Air Force has carried out strikes on missile facilities and drone bases in four provinces of Iran — Esfahan, Bushehr, Ahvaz, and for the first time, in the Yazd area.

According to the IDF press service, the operation involved approximately 30 fighter jets, which used more than 60 munitions to target dozens of military sites, supported by military intelligence, as per Caliber.Az.

For the first time, the headquarters of the “Imam Hussein” strategic missile forces in the Yazd area was hit. This facility housed long-range Khorramshahr ballistic missiles and had previously been the launch site for around 60 missiles fired at Israeli territory.

Additional strikes targeted missile launchers, air defence battery production facilities, the UAV headquarters of the “3rd Battalion,” and a drone warehouse in Esfahan, Bushehr, and Ahvaz.

During the attack, Israeli drones identified and eliminated Iranian military personnel operating the launch systems.

The IDF has declared its readiness to continue striking Iran’s military infrastructure in order to neutralise threats to Israel’s national security.

15:25

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will persist with their military campaign against Iran’s nuclear program until all strategic goals are fulfilled, a senior military official announced on June 22.

Speaking at a press briefing, IDF spokesperson Effie Defrin reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to what he called a critical national security mission, Caliber.Az writes, citing Ynet.

“We are operating with a clear purpose — to eliminate the existential threat posed to the State of Israel. We have a defined plan and objectives, and we are continuously working to implement them,” Defrin stated. “The operation will continue until those goals are fully achieved.”

Defrin reiterated the IDF’s readiness for a drawn-out conflict, echoing the recent statement by IDF Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, who said the army is "preparing for a prolonged campaign."

“We must be prepared for any development,” Defrin added, signalling the likelihood of sustained military engagement.

According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), Israeli military sources also indicated that the operation encompasses “other targets” within Iranian territory, underscoring the broader scope of the campaign beyond nuclear sites.

15:02

The June 21 US strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities could push the Islamic Republic’s government to step up efforts to develop an atomic bomb, according to an assessment by The Washington Post.

The assessment says that such a scenario is possible if Iran retains its uranium enrichment capabilities after the attacks.

So far, however, Tehran has not taken such steps, WP notes, citing US intelligence sources.

The newspaper described U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to launch strikes on Iranian nuclear sites as an extraordinary gamble with a high risk of escalation, emphasising that no previous American president had dared to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.

14:45

An attempt to attack Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would close the door to any negotiations or deal with the Islamic Republic and provoke a response by all available means, a senior Iranian official told Reuters.

“Such a move would be seen by Iran as crossing all red lines and would justify an unlimited response,” the source said.

13:55

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that the United States should expect a harsh response for its recent strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

According to IRGC representatives, the response will "make Washington regret its actions."

The IRGC emphasised that the US strikes on nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan would be met with “regret-inducing retaliation.”

The statement also declared that Iran will continue its strikes on Israeli territory in response to Tel Aviv’s aggression, regardless of US intervention.

13:45

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the United States and Israel of derailing diplomatic efforts, stating that these two countries were undermining the negotiation process, even as European powers continue to call on Tehran to return to the negotiating table, Tasnim reports.

“Last week, we were in negotiations with the US when Israel chose to blow up diplomacy,” Araghchi wrote on Sunday on his Telegram account.

“This week, we were in dialogue with the E3/EU (France, Germany, the UK, and the European Union), when the US decided to sabotage these talks,” he added.

“So what conclusion can be drawn from this? For the UK and the EU’s High Representative, it is Iran that should ‘return’ to the negotiating table. But how can Iran return to something it never left—much less undermined?” asked the Iranian top diplomat.

His remarks come amid the 10th day of Israel’s ongoing military operation against Iran. Overnight, the US carried out airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, further escalating tensions and casting doubt on prospects for a diplomatic resolution.

13:26

Israel’s Ministry of Health has reported that 86 people were hospitalized following the latest round of Iranian missile attacks.

According to official data, two individuals are in moderate condition, while 77 are in satisfactory condition. Additionally, four patients were treated for acute panic symptoms, and three others are under observation with their condition being assessed.

Medical facilities across Israel continue to operate under high alert due to ongoing regional tensions.

13:05

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the first deployment of the medium-range ballistic missile "Kheibar Shekan" during this morning’s strike on Israel, according to Tasnim news agency.

In the final phase of the attack, 40 ballistic missiles using both solid and liquid fuel were launched. For the first time, third-generation “Kheibar Shekan” missiles with multiple warheads were reportedly used.

IRGC officials stated that "modern tactical approaches" were employed to improve accuracy and strike efficiency. The missiles targeted strategic sites, including transportation hubs, scientific institutions, and command centers.

The missiles featured maneuverable, high-performance warheads capable of maintaining control until impact. Iran claims that Israel’s alert system only activated post-strike, reducing defensive readiness.

The IRGC added that the main portion of Iran's military capability remains unused.

12:53

A majority of enriched uranium was removed from the Fordow facility ahead of the US strikes, Reuters reports, citing a senior Iranian official, reported that

The source also said most staff had been evacuated from the underground uranium enrichment facility located 80–90 meters deep near the city of Qom (about 150 km south of Tehran).

12:43

The decision to strike Iran marked a pivotal and politically risky move for US President Donald Trump, according to the Financial Times.

“The US strikes represent a major turning point for Trump, who had campaigned for re-election as a peace-seeker promising an end to ‘forever wars’. This is a political gamble, as the MAGA base is divided: some support a tough stance, while others believe the US should stay out of foreign conflicts,” the paper wrote.

The FT added that the attacks could prompt Iranian retaliation against US bases and ships in the region and may disrupt oil supplies from the world's key energy-producing zone.

12:17

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer defended the US strikes on Iran, saying they were aimed at eliminating the risk of Tehran developing nuclear weapons—a capability Iran must never be allowed to acquire.

“Iran’s nuclear program poses a serious threat to international security. The US has taken steps to eliminate that threat,” Starmer said, commenting on the overnight strikes.

He added: “The situation in the Middle East remains unstable. Ensuring regional stability is a priority. We urge Iran to return to the negotiating table and seek a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.”

According to Sky News, the UK did not participate in the US strikes.

12:00

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi has announced that an emergency meeting of the agency’s Board of Governors will be held on June 23 in response to the "urgent situation" in Iran.

“In light of the urgent situation in Iran, I am convening an emergency meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors for tomorrow,” Grossi posted on X.

On the night of June 22, the US carried out airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The IAEA reported that it had not detected any radiation increase outside the targeted facilities following the strikes.

11:18

The Trump administration has conveyed to Tehran—via Arab intermediaries—that the recent strikes on Iranian nuclear sites were a one-time action and not part of a broader war effort or regime-change agenda, The Wall Street Journal reports.

According to the paper, the US used regional Arab partners to deliver the message that the military phase had concluded and encouraged Iran to return to the negotiating table.

Washington aims to de-escalate tensions and avoid further conflict, emphasizing that the strikes were in response to specific threats and not a signal of wider military ambitions.

10:55

The Trump administration is preparing for a possible Iranian retaliatory strike on American targets, possibly within 48 hours, NBC News reports.

10:23

Tehran has called for an urgent meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) following American strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, according to a statement by Iran’s Foreign Ministry.

"Today, more than ever, the responsibility of the IAEA and its Director General [Rafael Grossi] is clear, as he has demonstrated obvious bias in favor of the warring parties and thus gave cause for the recent catastrophe. We call on the IAEA Board of Governors to hold an extraordinary session and fulfill its legal obligations in connection with the dangerous US attack on peaceful Iranian nuclear sites, which were under strict agency control and operated within the framework of the Safeguards Agreement," the statement says.

09:58

The Israeli Air Force has launched a new series of attacks on military targets in western Iran, according to the Telegram channel of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Additionally, "in the morning, the Air Force attacked missile launchers in Iran, ready to launch [rockets] toward the territory of the State of Israel, as well as soldiers of the Iranian armed forces," the IDF press service continued, noting that strikes were also carried out on "launchers that some time ago were used to fire rockets toward the territory of the State of Israel."

09:39

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization reported that the United States launched strikes this morning, June 22, targeting nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, according to the Al Mayadeen TV channel via its Telegram account.

"This attack violates international law, particularly the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT)," the organisation stated.

According to the channel, the American strikes are a continuation of Israel’s earlier attacks. The Iranian agency added that the assault on nuclear facilities was made possible due to the indifference shown by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The press office expressed hope that the international community would condemn the U.S. attack.

09:28

Following the U.S. strikes on Iran, the Israeli military reported a fresh missile attack launched from Iran, according to the IDF press office.

The civilian population was instructed to take shelter. Air raid sirens were heard in multiple locations, including the Tel Aviv area, accompanied by the sounds of explosions.

Rocket impacts were confirmed at 10 different sites across Israel, including the city of Haifa.

Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical service reported that 11 people were injured in the ballistic missile strike targeting central and northern Israel.

A man in his 30s sustained moderate injuries from shrapnel, while ten others suffered minor wounds.

According to the Ynet portal, approximately 20 missiles were launched in this latest barrage.

09:05

The strikes carried out by the United States against Iran constitute a gross violation of international law and the UN Charter, Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations Amir Saeed Iravani stated.

“Undoubtedly, the US military aggression against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of [Iran] represents a blatant violation of international law and binding international norms enshrined in the UN Charter,” Iravani wrote in a letter to the UN Security Council president and the UN Secretary-General.

“In light of the serious and far-reaching consequences of these barbaric and criminal actions against international peace and security, the Islamic Republic of Iran urgently requests the Security Council convene an emergency session to immediately discuss this flagrant and unlawful act of aggression,” the letter added.

08:39

Iran has accused the United States, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, of serious violations of the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in connection with strikes on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that the morning’s events are outrageous and will have long-term consequences, Caliber.Az reports.

The minister called on all UN member states to express concern over the "extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behaviour" of the United States.

Referring to the provisions of the UN Charter that allow lawful self-defence, Tehran stated it reserves the right to use all available measures to protect its sovereignty, national interests, and population.

06:22

On June 21 (Washington time), U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the nation following a series of massive airstrikes carried out by American armed forces against key Iranian nuclear facilities. In his speech, he announced the complete destruction of sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, describing the operation as a “spectacular military success.”

Caliber.Az presents the full text of President Trump’s address:

“A short time ago, the U.S. military carried out massive precision strikes on the three key nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Everybody heard those names for years as they built this horribly destructive enterprise.

Our objective was the destruction of Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world's number one state sponsor of terror. Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier.

For 40 years, Iran has been saying ‘Death to America, Death to Israel.’ They have been killing our people, blowing off their arms, blowing off their legs with roadside bombs. That was their specialty. We lost over 1,000 people and hundreds of thousands throughout the Middle East and around the world have died as a direct result of their hate. In particular, so many were killed by their general, Qasem Soleimani.

I decided a long time ago that I would not let this happen. It will not continue.

I want to thank and congratulate Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu. We worked as a team like perhaps no team has ever worked before, and we've gone a long way to erasing this horrible threat to Israel. I want to thank the Israeli military for the wonderful job they've done.

And most importantly, I want to congratulate the great American patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight and all of the United States military on an operation the likes of which the world has not seen in many, many decades. Hopefully, we will no longer need their services in this capacity. I hope that's so.

I also want to congratulate the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan ‘Razin’ Caine, spectacular general, and all of the brilliant military minds involved in this attack.

With all of that being said, this cannot continue. There will be either peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days. Remember, there are many targets left. Tonight's was the most difficult of them all, by far, and perhaps the most lethal. But if peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill. Most of them can be taken out in a matter of minutes.

There's no military in the world that could have done what we did tonight, not even close. There has never been a military that could do what took place just a little while ago.

Tomorrow, General Cain, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will have a press conference at 8:00 AM at the Pentagon.

And I want to just thank everybody and in particular, God. I want to just say we love you, God, and we love our great military. Protect them. God bless the Middle East, God bless Israel, and God bless America.

Thank you very much. Thank you.”

President Donald Trump has announced that American air forces conducted a "very successful attack" against key components of Iran’s nuclear program, including the fortified underground facility in Fordow, as well as sites in Natanz and Isfahan.

As reported by Caliber.Az, Trump stated that all aircraft involved in the operation have exited Iranian airspace and are safely returning to their bases.

“A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Shortly thereafter, the President reposted a brief message reading: “Fordow is gone,” appearing to confirm the total destruction of the underground facility.

President Trump also announced a forthcoming address to the nation:

“I will be giving an Address to the Nation at 10:00 P.M., at the White House, regarding our very successful military operation in Iran. This is an HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ISRAEL, AND THE WORLD.”

Iranian state media outlets, including Mehr News Agency and IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting), confirmed the U.S. President’s statement, reporting overnight strikes on all three nuclear sites — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

According to IRIB’s news director, Iranian authorities had evacuated personnel from the facilities “well in advance of the strikes.”

Fox News host Sean Hannity stated on air that he had just spoken with President Trump, who confirmed that six U.S. bunker-buster bombs were used to target the underground complex at Fordow — three times more than originally anticipated.

Hannity further reported that American submarines, positioned approximately 400 miles from the targets, launched 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the Natanz and Isfahan facilities. These strikes were part of a coordinated operation to dismantle critical infrastructure in Iran’s nuclear program.

Iran further urges the Council to demand an immediate cessation of all such attacks and to reaffirm the inviolability of safeguarded nuclear facilities in accordance with international law, the UN Charter, the IAEA Statute, and IAEA General Conference resolutions,” the letter stated.

The Iranian mission to the UN also expressed “deep concern” over credible reports suggesting that the United States — the depository state of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) — is considering supporting Israel’s ongoing military aggression.

“Such a move would not only constitute a gross violation of the NPT but also set a dangerously irreversible precedent that undermines the foundation of the global non-proliferation regime,” Iravani warned.

Today, the skies over the occupied territories are open to Iranian missiles and drones,” the statement said.

It emphasised that the missile strikes would be “precise and continuous,” targeting facilities of Mossad (foreign intelligence), Aman (military intelligence), and airbases across Israel.
