June 24, 2025 — Israel vs Iran: LIVE

24 June 2025 13:50

Amid a sharp escalation in the Middle East, Israel has reported a series of strikes on key targets inside Iran. According to Tel Aviv, the attacks targeted elements of Iran's nuclear infrastructure, facilities linked to its ballistic missile program, and senior members of the Iranian command. In response, Tehran has begun launching strikes on Israeli targets.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that both Israel and Iran reached out to him almost simultaneously with the message — "Peace." He said, "The World, and the Middle East, are the real WINNERS!" Nonetheless, fighting continues on the ground.

This news feed provides all the latest updates on the unfolding conflict, including official statements, photos, and videos. The material is being continuously updated.

The IDF intercepted more than 15 drones launched from Iranian territory overnight, according to the official IDF Telegram channel.

“As a result of the missile strike on the Imam Hassan Mojtaba IRGC headquarters in Alborz province, several valiant defenders of the Islamic Revolution have been honoured with the highest distinction — martyrdom,” the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Alborz province said in a statement, Tasnim reports.

Among the deceased are named: Brigadier General Mojtaba Karemi, deputy commander of the IRGC in Alborz province; General Akbar Enayati, deputy for public affairs; Hojjat-ul-Islam Ali Turkashvand, head of the supervision and inspection department; Colonel Golam Ojani; Lieutenant Colonel Mohsen Kuheil; Fatima Salehi, IRGC servicewoman; and volunteer Golamreza Suri.

Iran denies reports that it launched a missile strike on Israel after the ceasefire, according to the Tasnim news agency.

IDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, stated that in response to Iran’s serious violation of the ceasefire, the Israeli military will deliver a powerful counterstrike.

“In light of the severe violation of the ceasefire carried out by the Iranian regime, we will respond with force,” emphasised the Chief of Staff.

Missiles were recently launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel, the military press service said.

Defence systems are currently working to intercept the threat.

A ceasefire between Iran and Israel came into effect at 7:30 a.m. Tehran time, based on the agreement reached, the Iranian television channel SNN reports.

The death toll from an Iranian ballistic missile strike on a residential building in Be'er Sheva has risen to four after rescuers recovered the body of a woman from the rubble, The Times of Israel reports.

It remains unclear whether the ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump has taken effect, and whether it will lead to an end of the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Trump declared a “complete and total” ceasefire late June 23 U.S. Eastern Time, just hours after Iran's attack on the U.S. Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar. According to him, the ceasefire was to begin six hours later — around 7 a.m. Israeli time. So far, Israel has not confirmed its participation in the agreement.

Meanwhile:

  • Iranian media claim the ceasefire was “imposed on the enemy” following Iran’s military retaliation. State television reported that Trump “pleaded” for a halt in hostilities. Trump himself stated that both sides — Israel and Iran — approached him with a peace initiative.

  • Fighting continues: On June 24 morning, Iran launched more missiles at Israel. One struck a residential building in Be’er Sheva, killing three people. Videos show missile launches over Jerusalem and interceptions near Haifa.

  • Israel strikes Tehran: According to Iranian media, the Israeli Air Force conducted airstrikes on the Iranian capital. CNN journalist Fred Pleitgen reported seeing fire in the skies over Tehran.

Diplomatic efforts are ongoing, but there is still no clarity on the implementation or timeline of the ceasefire.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Israel and Iran had reached out to him almost simultaneously with a message: “Peace!” According to the American leader, he realised the moment for peace had come.

“The World, and the Middle East, are the real WINNERS! Both Nations will see tremendous LOVE, PEACE, AND PROSPERITY in their futures. They have so much to gain, and yet, so much to lose if they stray from the road of RIGHTEOUSNESS & TRUTH,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.

He added that the achievement of the “today’s deal” was made possible thanks to the courage and professionalism of U.S. B-2 strategic bomber pilots and all those involved in the operation.

“In a certain and very ironic way, that perfect 'hit,' late in the evening, brought everyone together, and the deal was made!!!,” Trump wrote in a new post on Truth Social.

Three people were killed after a missile struck a residential building in the Israeli city of Be’er Sheva, according to Israel’s emergency services.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that the victims included a man around 40 years old, a woman approximately 30, and a young man in his 20s. Six others sustained light to moderate injuries and are receiving medical treatment.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed several missile launches from Iran toward Israel. As a result, Israeli residents were instructed to take shelter in bomb shelters.
