Hungarian PM says NATO priorities changed: Peace talks over Ukraine membership
25 June 2025 21:29
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has highlighted a significant shift in NATO’s policy and global dynamics since the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.
Speaking after attending a NATO leaders’ meeting in the Netherlands, Orbán shared his observations on the alliance’s evolving priorities via a post on his official Facebook page, Caliber.Az reports.
Orbán noted, “Since last year, the world and NATO have changed a lot. Since the arrival of President Trump, the new wars are shorter and the old ones are losing momentum.
Today we did not discuss Ukraine's NATO membership, but about strengthening the alliance and ending the war. Making a big step ahead!”
