Armenia prioritizes regional peace, acknowledges US role

Armenia's government emphasizes the establishment of lasting and long-term peace in the region as its top priority, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated during a reception at the American embassy in Yerevan on Independence Day.

"One of the most crucial conditions for building a stable democracy is peace. Establishing stable and long-term peace in the region is a priority for the Armenian government. In this context, we highly value America's consistent steps towards promoting the peace agenda," Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian government press service.

The deputy prime minister underscored the USA's significant role in fostering regional peace, expressing Armenia's commitment to shared democratic values with the United States.

Additionally, Grigoryan extended gratitude to the US government for its support of Armenia's economic reforms and sustainability efforts. He highlighted the US government's targeted statements in support of Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
