Armenian PM meets EU ambassadors to discuss bilateral cooperation
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with ambassadors of European Union member states accredited to Armenia to discuss democratic reforms, economic cooperation and regional stability, the Armenian government has stated.
It said EU Ambassador to Armenia Vassilis Maragos also attended the meeting, Caliber.Az reports.
Maragos congratulated Pashinyan on the outcome of Armenia's parliamentary elections held on June 7, reaffirming the European Union's readiness to continue close cooperation with the country in support of democratic values, stability and development.
Pashinyan thanked the European Union and its member states for their congratulations and assessments of the election, emphasising the importance of EU support for Armenia's democratic processes and reform agenda.
The meeting focused on Armenia-EU cooperation, including judicial reforms, the rule of law, economic ties, infrastructure development, energy resilience, and regional peace and stability.
The participants also discussed steps to further deepen the Armenia-EU partnership and underscored the importance of maintaining high-level political dialogue and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
