Iranian FM: How long should Tehran wait to respond to US actions

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi questioned how long Jordan believes Tehran should wait before responding to US actions, after his Jordanian counterpart said Iran attacked Jordan and other countries in the region two hours after the war began, indicating that the attack was not a response.

Sharing a post on X, he described the US as an aggressor that respects neither Arab sovereignty nor Iran’s sovereignty, Caliber.Az reports.

“How long does the Jordanian Foreign Minister think Iran should wait before responding to an aggressor that respects neither Arab sovereignty nor Iran’s sovereignty?” he wrote.

Araghchi further asked: “Does he really not know that Arab airspace, territory and waters were used in the initial US strikes that killed innocent Iranians?”

His comments came amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States and disputes over the use of airspace and territory in the region.
