Former Yerevan officials face asset seizures, detention extension
Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia has filed a claim seeking the confiscation in favor of the state of more than 20 movable and immovable assets allegedly belonging to former Yerevan Deputy Mayor Karen Davtyan.
The assets include 14 real estate properties, nine of which are located in Yerevan’s Kentron administrative district, as well as the right to acquire an additional property in Kentron.
The list also includes eight vehicles, ownership stakes in 10 legal entities, and cash holdings of 105.171 million drams ($289,000) and 124 million drams ($341,000).
The case is part of broader legal proceedings involving former officials of Yerevan.
Meanwhile, the detention of former Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan has been extended by two months.
A criminal case has been launched against Beglaryan over allegations of the illegal appropriation of 27 properties in Yerevan, with the total value of the properties estimated at around $40 million.
