Azerbaijan has revered January 20 martyrs’ memory in the US.

Azerbaijani kamancha (stringed musical instrument) player Shabnam Huseyn performed in Times Square in New York with a concert programme dedicated to the memory of the martyrs of January 20 tragedy, Report informs.

The young musician performed such compositions as “Carnation”, “Lullaby”, mugham “Shushter” by Vasif Adigozalov, “Concerto for kamancha and symphony orchestra” by Haji Khanmammadov, “I am looking for you” by Fikret Amirov, “Komde’s dreams” by Arif Melikov.

The artist's performance attracted the attention of local residents and tourists visiting the square. They were informed about the terrible crimes that occurred 34 years ago, on January 20, 1990, against Azerbaijanis.

The concert programme, held in accordance with the official permission of the New York Police Department, lasted about one hour.
