Azerbaijan, US deepen dialogue on strategic partnership
During his visit to the United States, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov held talks with Andrew Stowe, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, focusing on the advancement of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The officials discussed the current state of Azerbaijan-US relations and prospects for further developing bilateral ties, emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation across multiple areas, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
The sides placed particular emphasis on implementing the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the governments of Azerbaijan and the United States, as well as following up on the outcomes of the Baku Economic Dialogue.
Mammadov and Stowe also exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation and consultations on matters aimed at strengthening peace and security.
