At least seven killed in Houthi attack on Yemen’s Mokha port
At least seven people were killed in an attack by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on the port of Mokha in southwestern Yemen, Al Arabiya reports, citing a Yemeni military official.
According to the channel, the Houthis carried out more than 20 drone attacks targeting the port and surrounding areas. The rebels also used ballistic missiles and an explosive-laden boat that attempted to attack the port’s pier, the report added.
Al Arabiya said that port workers were among those injured in the attack. Houthi drones also targeted residential buildings housing port employees, while one missile struck a building where field hospital staff were staying.
At the same time, Yemeni army air defense forces managed to shoot down several of the drones.
