Azerbaijan simplifies visa procedures for Formula 1 participants, ticket holders Presidential decree
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree easing visa procedures for foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving in the country for Formula 1 between August 25 and September 30, 2025.
According to the presidential order, issued in line with paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, eligible foreign visitors will be able to obtain visas directly at international airports across the country during the specified period. This measure applies to individuals arriving in connection with the 2025 Formula 1 Grand Prix in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via the president’s website.
To qualify for a visa on arrival, travelers must present one of the following documents:

An accreditation card issued by Formula One Management Limited or the International Automobile Federation (FIA), or any document confirming official accreditation;

An accreditation card issued by the Baku City Ring Operating Company;

A ticket (including electronic tickets) or proof of ticket purchase for the 2025 Formula 1 race in Baku.
The decree also instructs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform Formula One Management, the FIA, and foreign authorities about the simplified visa process. Additionally, the ministry is tasked with publicizing information about the availability of electronic visas through the ASAN Visa system.
The State Migration Service has been directed to notify all airlines operating flights to Azerbaijan about the relaxed visa rules to ensure smooth entry for Formula 1-related travelers.
