Azerbaijan, Türkiye reaffirm military alliance as new attaché assumes post in Baku
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has met with the newly appointed military attaché of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, Major General Ersin Dinçer, to discuss the military cooperation between the two countries, the Ministry of Defence said.
During the meeting, Colonel General Hasanov underscored the deep-rooted friendship and strategic alliance that form the foundation of Azerbaijani-Turkish relations. He highlighted the continued growth and strength of bilateral military cooperation and extended his best wishes to Major General Dinçer in his new role, expressing confidence in his contribution to further advancing defence ties between the two brotherly nations, Caliber.Az reports.
Major General Ersin Dinçer, in turn, affirmed his commitment to enhancing the military partnership between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. He pledged to make every effort to deepen collaboration across multiple areas of mutual interest.
The meeting was also attended by Major General Gaffar Gören, the outgoing Turkish military attaché, who was praised for his service and contributions during his tenure in Baku.
The sides exchanged views on new prospects for Azerbaijani-Turkish military cooperation, particularly in the fields of defence, military-technical collaboration, military education, and joint training initiatives. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening interoperability and strategic alignment between the armed forces of the two allied nations.
