Azerbaijani defence minister heads to Türkiye

Azerbaijani Defence Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar, embarked on May 11 on a visit to Türkiye to observe the Anatolian Eagle-2023 international exercises taking place in the city of Konya.

Minister Hasanov will take part in the "Day of the high-level observer", which will be held as part of the exercises, the Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.

The representatives from Türkiye, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Great Britain are participating in the exercises, in which Su-25 attack aircraft and a group of Azerbaijani Air Force personnel are also involved.

Delegations from the United States, Australia, Ethiopia, Morocco, France, Georgia, Sweden, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, Libya, Malaysia, and Jordan take part as observers in the Anatolian Eagle 2023 international tactical flight exercises.
