Azerbaijani president congratulates Russian leader in birthday phone call

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on October 7 to extend birthday greetings to his Russian counterpart.

In turn, President Putin thanked the Azerbaijani leader for the congratulations, Caliber.Az reports per the presidential website. 

During the call, the two leaders also discussed the current state of Azerbaijan-Russia relations and exchanged views on prospects for further cooperation between the two countries.
