Azerbaijani president, Iraqi Kurdistan PM discuss trade and cooperation in Davos PHOTO

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has met Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The meeting took place on January 20 and focused on bilateral relations and prospects for expanding cooperation. Masrour Barzani conveyed greetings from Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, which President Aliyev acknowledged, asking that his regards be returned, Caliber.Az reports via state media.

Both sides recalled Barzani’s previous visits to Azerbaijan and earlier meetings with President Aliyev. Discussions centred on opportunities to deepen economic and trade ties, as well as cooperation in cultural and humanitarian fields.
