Azerbaijani president meets Franklin Templeton CEO to discuss strategic partnership PHOTO
On January 16, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Jenny Johnson, CEO and President of Franklin Templeton, one of the world's leading asset management firms.
During the meeting, Jenny Johnson highlighted Azerbaijan’s achievements in the economic sphere and its contributions to international cooperation, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
She noted the country’s reforms aimed at sustainable economic growth and its growing prominence on the international stage.
Johnson also spoke about the initial steps toward establishing a long-term partnership between Franklin Templeton and the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan, as well as exploring opportunities for further collaboration in strategic areas.
Ilham Aliyev, reflecting on the successful cooperation between the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan and leading global financial institutions, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership with Franklin Templeton and the favourable conditions for further strengthening ties in this field.
Note that, Franklin Templeton was founded in 1947 in New York, USA. As of September 2024, the total value of assets under its management stands at $1.68 trillion.
The Franklin Templeton group includes several business divisions specializing in equities, bonds, alternative investments, and other asset classes.
