Azerbaijani speaker receives congratulations from international legislators on Victory Day
Several parliamentary leaders from Arab and Pakistani institutions have extended their congratulations to the Chair of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, on the occasion of November 8 — Victory Day.
Among them were President of the Arab Parliament Mohamed Al-Yamahi, Chairman of Pakistan’s Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, and Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, whose letters praised the Azerbaijani people’s unity and determination, commended President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership in restoring state sovereignty, and expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of bilateral parliamentary ties, Caliber.Az reports via the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis.
The letters emphasised that the fifth anniversary of Victory Day symbolises the steadfast will, unity, and determination of the Azerbaijani people.
They noted that under the visionary leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan restored its state sovereignty and territorial integrity, laying a strong foundation for the country’s development and prosperity.
The letters further underlined the importance of cooperation, stability, and mutual understanding, expressing confidence in the continued strengthening of interparliamentary relations and wishing the friendly people of Azerbaijan progress, prosperity, and lasting stability.
