COP29 President, UN chief mull bolstering role of Pacific Islands

COP29 President Designate Mukhtar Babayev has met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the sidelines of the Pacific Islands Forum in the Kingdom of Tonga.

“COP29 President Designate Mukhtar Babayev had a productive meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the margins of the Pacific Islands Forum in the Kingdom of Tonga," Caliber.Az reports, citing the official Twitter page of COP29.

"Together we are working to strengthen the role of the Pacific Islands and create a more sustainable future in the lead-up to COP29,” the tweet adds.
