Davos dialogue: President Aliyev, Oliver Wyman CEO focus on economic collaboration
On January 20, in Davos, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan held a meeting with Nick Studer, the CEO of Oliver Wyman Group, a prominent global strategic management firm.
During the meeting, Nick Studer outlined potential areas of collaboration between the global strategic management firm and Azerbaijani institutions, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He expressed interest in Azerbaijan's ongoing economic transformation and highlighted opportunities to develop the insurance and financial markets, advance energy projects — including traditional and green energy — and boost agricultural product exports. He also emphasized the importance of localizing the value chain to harness emerging trade opportunities in the region. Additionally, Studer praised Azerbaijan's recent achievements.
President Aliyev welcomed the company’s interest and discussed avenues for establishing cooperation between the Oliver Wyman Group and relevant institutions in Azerbaijan.
The 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting is taking place in Davos, Switzerland, from January 20 to 24, under the theme Collaboration for the Intelligent Age. Bringing together over 3,000 leaders from more than 130 countries, including 60 heads of state and government, the forum addresses critical global challenges in an era of technological transformation and geo-economic uncertainty.
