France plans to send 20 Bastion armoured vehicles to Ukraine

France plans to supply Ukraine with about 20 Bastion armoured personnel carriers.

A contract between the French manufacturer Arquus, owned by the Swedish group Volvo, and the French Ministry of Defence is in progress, Tribune reports, citing informed sources.

The contract is yet to be concluded, but the vehicles may be supplied as soon as possible.

Bastion is capable of carrying up to 10 personnel. It is planned to send a combat model to Ukraine, on which it will be possible to install a 12.7 mm machine gun.
