President Lula intends to discuss and formulate a joint response from BRICS members to potential U.S. actions that could hinder cooperation within the bloc.
Amorim is also scheduled to visit China next week to attend the ceremonies marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II. During the visit, he will hold several meetings with foreign ministers from BRICS countries who are also traveling to Beijing.
