Turkish, Pakistani leaders meet in China, discuss trade, defence, regional security
Türkiye is satisfied with the development of relations between Pakistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made the remarks during a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the Chinese city of Tianjin, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Erdoğan emphasised that he highly values the solidarity shown by Pakistan on this matter.
He also stated that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria are a priority for Turkey, underlining Ankara’s opposition to any steps aimed at undermining stability in the country.
Sharif and Erdoğan affirmed their commitment to developing cooperation in trade, energy, defense industry, and security.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
The leaders of Türkiye and Pakistan are in China to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit of heads of state.
