"Fraternal relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will rise to a new high level" One-on-one meeting of Azerbaijani, Kazakh presidents

On August 24, after the official welcoming ceremony, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in a one-on-one meeting.

According to Caliber.Az, Welcoming the President of Kazakhstan, President Aliyev said: "Dear Mr President, welcome to Azerbaijan. I am very glad to see you. I am sure that your visit will be very successful and friendly, [and] fraternal relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will rise to a new high level. We attach great importance to your visit. I am sure that the results of the visit will be very good. Welcome again."

For his part, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said: "First of all, I would like to thank you for your hospitality. I am glad to visit your country for the first time as the President of Kazakhstan on an official visit. Undoubtedly, today's visit has a special meaning for me. As a result of today's talks, a number of documents will be signed. I am sure they will bring bilateral cooperation, [and] Kazakh-Azerbaijani relations to a new level."
