G7 'will never recognize' border changes in Ukraine

The G7 countries (UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, US, France, and Japan) have stressed that they do not recognize the border changes in Ukraine.

“The foreign ministers of the G7 countries emphasized that the countries will supply arms to Ukraine as long as necessary,” TASS reports referring to a joint statement made by the foreign ministers of the G7 countries following a three-day meeting in Wangels municipality (Schleswig-Holstein) in northern Germany.

"We will continue rendering our military assistance to Ukraine as long as necessary," the document says.

The foreign ministers of the G7 countries think that the situation in Ukraine has worsened the prospects for the development of the global economy.

According to the foreign ministers’ opinion, Russia's actions in Ukraine worsened the prospects for the development of the global economy, which resulted in food, fuel, and energy price hikes.

The ministers called on Russia to end the blockade of grain export from Ukraine.

“This can only be the first step. About 43 million people are one step away from starvation,” the document said.

The G7 intends to intensify efforts to reduce dependence and abandon the Russian energy sources. It urges China not to help Russia and not circumvent sanctions against Moscow, as well as not to justify its actions. It is also ready to take further restrictive measures against Russia, its representatives, and institutions.
