Germany's Scholz pledges Ukraine IRIS-T, missiles, and ammunition
Germany will transfer air defence systems, missiles, and ammunition to Ukraine in the coming months to protect critical infrastructure, as announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
"We will deliver to Ukraine the third Patriot air defence system, IRIS-T, Gepard installations, missiles, and ammunition. All of this will go to Ukraine in the coming months and weeks," Scholz stated during a conference broadcast in Berlin, as per Caliber.Az.
Scholz highlighted that Germany's commitment aims to bolster Kyiv's defences against ongoing Russian attacks on cities and critical infrastructure. In his opening remarks, Scholz also stressed the importance of private capital in reconstruction efforts, noting that "it must also be economically sound."
Throughout the war in Ukraine, Germany has significantly bolstered its military aid to Kyiv, evolving into one of Ukraine's top supporters. This support encompasses a diverse range of military equipment, reflecting Germany's commitment to assisting Ukraine in its defence against Russian aggression.
