Hungarian FM set to visit Azerbaijan
Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto will arrive on a visit to Azerbaijan on June 7.
He is expected to hold several meetings in Baku tomorrow, APA reports.
Azerbaijan and Hungary have a strong relationship that goes back to the early 1990s. The two states established formal diplomatic ties in April 1992, shortly after Azerbaijan gained independence from the Soviet Union.
Over the years, the relationship has grown into a strategic partnership. Leaders from both countries emphasize the importance of continuing to develop close cooperation.
High-level officials from both countries meet frequently to discuss areas of mutual interest.
Both countries have embassies in each other's capitals: Baku (Azerbaijan) and Budapest (Hungary).
